Q. After the initial research, how do I move forward?

A. Now you need to contact Fortune 1. At some point, you're going to have to sit down with a professional who knows what is involved in international expansion, to help set the appropriate course of action for your company. You need to speak with somebody who can organize the enormous amount of information which has been gathered and help you to understand exactly what it means for your company. Finally, you need someone, who has been there and done that, to manage the details and provide objective assessments about your international opportunities.

Q. Is there government assistance to help me?

A. Yes. However, these are often obscure programs, and usually require a great deal of homework to 1) understand them, and 2) to make sure your company qualifies. Local and state government agencies, as well as some private groups, also offer assistance. As well, various country governments offer incentives to attract foreign investment. However, you need to spend time to understand what these agencies offer. In the beginning, government agencies can provide a wide variety of general information sources. Later, they will be sources specific assistance.

Q. What EXACTLY does Fortune 1 do?

Q. How much does Fortune 1 cost?

A. Fortune 1’s work is quoted on per project basis. However, initial consultation is free. Bear in mind, one of the defining features of Fortune 1 is that we physically reside in each country/region where we offer our expansion and support services. This not only provides you an in-country consultant, but also saves you money in terms of travel logistics and having practical on-the-ground knowledge of the market.

Q. I am having login problems.

A. We apologize for any technical problems you may experience with the Fortune 1 website. Please contact us here clientservice@fortune1.com. Be sure to provide us with your username and password, and a return email address. We will solve the problem within 24 hours.

Q. I cannot download articles from the Fortune 1 Library.

A. At times we are updating the Library with new articles, and this can cause the Library to be temporarily unavailable. Please contact us here clientservice@fortune1.com. Provide us with your username and password, a return email address, and the titles of the articles you want to download. We will send you copies of the articles via email within 24 hours.

Q. I am interested in using/re-printing your Library publications.

A. In most cases, re-printing is happily permitted. However, we ask that you contact us before doing so. Please include the name of the publication where you intend to copy the article. Note, not all Perspectives are the property of Fortune 1. In some cases, we have included work from IMD and London Business schools, among others. Permission to re-print these articles must be requested directly from these sources.
